Living Room
The cottage has generous living space, with a warm and cosy living room, and a large kitchen with separate dining area.
The living room is fully carpeted and centrally heated. It has original
exposed beams, sofa seating for four and a TV with full freeview
channels. There is also a games cupboard with a selection of puzzles
and games and a small library of DVDs.
We provide lots of information
on the local area and many guests leave recommendations of things to do
and places to see.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The living room leads in to the dining area and the large kitchen.
The
dining area has an oak table and seating for 6 if necessary. There is
an open gas effect fire and a relaxing quiet corner with over head light
and radio - perfect for reading the Sunday papers in peace!
The kitchen is fully fitted and has plenty of space for all you should
need. There is a washing machine should you need it, and a microwave
and gas cooker and oven. It is well equipped for even the most
discerning chef! We have hosted 2 Christmases here!
The bathroom is on the ground floor, leading off the kitchen.
It is a smart, white suite, with bath and shower attachment.
Please note there is not a stand up shower facility.
We provide fresh soap and flannels for all guests, as well as towels and linen, included in the rental.
Stairs lead from the living room upstairs. The stairs are not as
steep as one would expect in a property of this age, and has a proper
banister and support for those who need it. There is a window too, so
they are light and bright.
Upstairs, the two bedrooms are warm and
welcoming.
There is plenty of space for a travel cot (provided) if necessary. There is a small discrete television which can be used (only) for watching videos. There is a small selection of childrens programmes and films. It is not a functional tv however.
The twin room is front facing, overlooking the street below.
The Market Place and the church spire can also be seen.
The room looks out to the back of the property and over the treetops and rooves of Halesworth.
The bed has a tempura mattress and a feather double duvet.
There is storage for clothes and a hairdryer.
Outside
The garden is secluded and safe, to the rear of the house. There is a small decked area for summer evening drinks or afternoon sunbathing and provides a small but safe play area for children.
The garden is packed with all year round colour and is home to many beautiful birds including robins, grey tits, blue tits and bullfinches.
Opposite the house is the Market Place, where the market is held every Wednesday.
It is a beautiful market square in front of the church, boasting some of Halesworth's finest architecture and buildings.
